About me

My Philosophy

My philosophy is simple, YOUR birth YOUR way!

You can count on my honesty, respect and compassion to help you through this life-changing journey.

  • Emotionally I can use hypnobirthing and visualization techniques to reduce fear and pain.

  • Physically, I can provide comfort measure options (massage, effleurage, water therapy, sensory stimulation, etc.).

  • As your Doula I will provide informative statistics and references so you may choose the best birth options for you and your family. You may feel a medicated birth is the right choice for you and your baby...I can support you and brief you on the benefits, risks and alternatives.

Testimonial
"One of the best decisions my husband and I made before the birth of our first baby was to invite Caroline to be with us in the labour and delivery room. Admittedly, we had no detailed birth plan, rather we just wanted to bring our sweet girl into this world in the safest way possible for both baby and momma. Caroline met us at the hospital in downtown Toronto as I was being induced at 38 weeks due to cholestasis. While this wasn't how we hoped things would unfold, the moment Caroline arrived, I felt at ease. She was a rock for us throughout my 34 hour labour. She provided strength and encouragement when I needed it, comfort and unwavering support, and humour when necessary! She not only provided support to me, but to my husband as well. As first time parents, when decisions had to be made, we found ourselves looking to Caroline for input and reassurance. She was an advocate for the "three" of us from start to finish and we feel so lucky to have had her with us at the most special moment in our family's life."

My Story

My Doula journey began 22 years after the birth of my youngest child and I am thrilled to support people as they expand their own families or other's through surrogacy!

For over 20 years, I was the Administrative Director of the largest overnight volleyball camp in North America. Together with my husband Ian, we lead approximately 200 staff and over 530 campers (teenagers) in a residential setting for two weeks of the summer. We enjoyed the camaraderie and are thankful for the friendships we have made along the way.

Although my years here have been wonderful, my passion for helping people during their pregnancies and births has been set aside until now.  I believe everything happens for a reason and I truly feel this is my time to achieve my career goals in the Doula profession.
